Harris County is one of the best places for newcomers

Houston isn’t only a great place to work. It is a great place to live. Harris County is attracting more newcomers than all but one county in the U.S. Houston has the second highest number of relocated households.

Headlight Data found that in 2012-2013, Harris County attracted 14,946 new households from different metros. Travis County in Austin had the highest number of new households at 28,038. It is cheaper and smarter to buy a home in Houston right now than it is to rent an apartment.
